About Distinct Images
Coming from the Advertising Specialty Industry, Jim Pike founded Distinct Images in 2001 with a primary goal of giving clients superior customer service, excellent quality and complete project management.
The first years were spent sharing an office with his uncle who owned a sign company, which was a great partnership to offer both of their clients a one-stop shop location for promotional products, decorated apparel and indoor + outdoor signage. Shortly after, the DI moved to its first office of its very own in the heart of Broad Ripple to embrace the community and fun environment of that area. An Artist/Sales Representative was strategically hired to assist on the artwork end, as well as help the business grow.
It worked! The company grew to an even bigger building where it still resides today. In 2012, DI increased employees from 1 to 4, and founded a separate production facility/screen printing division, Greenline Printing, which brought on 4 more team members. Here we are 14 years later and thriving! According to our customer feedback today, the initial goal of giving clients superior customer service, excellent quality and complete project management, continues to be met.
Donut Fridays are a must. Our culture is laid back and our office dynamic is friendly. In December, we have a competitive Distinct Images vs. Greenline Printing bowling battle, of which DI currently holds the {eh-hem} #1 spot. We celebrate birthdays, support local businesses and love meeting organizations involved in the community. It’s not just getting a product to our customers, it’s making sure we meet their demands and exceed their expectations.

“In 2014, Nine13sports realized we needed to step up our joint marketing efforts during our Kids Riding Bikes programs. One way to do that was with great branding efforts, including apparel. After being unsatisfied with the customer service and lack of quality we had been receiving from our previous manufacturer, we found Distinct Images. They have not only become a provider for all of our apparel needs, but a valued member of our team and an asset to our brand. Jenny and Jim have shown us time and time again that Distinct Images is the best option around for beautiful and easy design, great pricing and quick turn around all while also meeting our desire to work with local Indianapolis based businesses.
In 2015, we’ll be more than tripling the amount of business we do with Distinct Images and feel fortunate to have such a perfect partner to aid in our growth!”

The Team
Jim Pike
President

Jim founded DI in 2001 after his previous place of employment, in the Advertising Specialty Industry, sold. He wanted to stay in the industry and decided to give it a whirl on his own! 14 years later…here he is! 15 employees deep and growing! His days are spent responding to the requests and needs of our customers, selling to new prospects and keeping tabs on community events. His inbox averages 10,000 emails (and no that’s not a type-o).
When not leading his team, Jim is an avid biker, runner, and family man to his wife Jamie, son Sam and daughter Anna. He helps out on the sidelines at the Colts games making sure our boys in blue have plenty of oxygen (you’re welcome), and loves craft beer, his dog and Xavier University…in no particular order.
Julie Sell
Director of Business Development
jsell@distinctimages.net
317.572.1158
Julie started as our Director of Business Development in June of 2013, coming from a position as an Account Executive with a degree in Fashion Merchandising. This means she’s our best dressed employee! And since she manages a lot of our school spiritwear programs, that means the students at those schools are also the best dressed in town. In addition to picking out hooded sweatshirts and bucket hats for schools, she builds lasting relationships in our community and has a knack for killing it in presentations!
When not sharing an office with stacks and stacks of promotional product catalogs, you can find Julie at the Farmer’s Market or sipping a glass of wine outside in beautiful weather. Or indoors – this love isn’t weather dependent. She and her husband, Matt, share busy chauffeuring responsibilities for their two active high school teenagers, Reed and Morgan.
Lynn Jordan
Account Executive

Lynn came to us in September of 2014 with industry background, a warm smile, and as our resident “blondy”. She services the RAM Graphics side of our business, helping schools, universities, clubs and businesses with their Spiritwear needs both great and small. Her day-to-day includes a heck of lot of phone calls, emails, quoting and accounting, not to mention glitter and metallic inks due to her heavy involvement with the Cheer and Dance portion of RAM.
When she’s not juggling 101 tasks at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenagers, perfecting her yoga moves and going for walks, and Bunco nights with the girls! Be sure to shake her hand if you’re in our office so that you can say you’ve met a debutante from the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!). True story.
Kristin Garcia
Client Services & Order Processing

Kristin is our Client Services & Order Processor who also manages our in-house embroidery operation. She started at DI in February of 2015 and came to us after 6 years of experience in the promotional products industry. She spends her work days entering orders, quoting projects, selecting beautiful thread colors and evaluating detailed stitches.
On her non-work days, Kristin can be found sitting poolside: outside in the summer and inside in the winter. Almost every day! She loves spending time with her son Corbin and daughter Kaycee, as well as her sidekick (a Chihuahua named Ian) who is known as her third child! And check this out…the last three times Kristin has gone in for a haircut, she has chopped off over 16” of locks and donated it to various charities that make wigs for cancer patients. How cool?!?
Penny Johnson
Account Manager
pjohnson@distinctimages.net

Joining the team in June of 2013, Penny is experienced in the world of bookkeeping. She stays busy with invoicing, keeping our stacks of paperwork in tact and managing incoming payments. So yes, you could say she does a great keeps track of our incoming and outgoing pennies!
Outside of the office, Penny enjoys sewing, gardening and traveling. She and her husband, Paul stay busy with her teenage daughter, Cheyenne.
Ester Lathrem
Account Manager & Order Processing
elathrem@distinctimages.net

Ester came to us in July of 2016 straight out of Ball State University. We feel so lucky we snagged her for her first job out of college! While in Muncie, she gained experience in our industry working for a printing company, and has customer service experience making her a great addition to our small, friendly company.
When she’s not hanging out on Hawthorn Park Drive, you can find Ester binge-watching just about any TV show on Netflix, hanging out with friends or enjoying a nice cold Sun King brew. Now that’s multi-tasking!
Blaine Gaiser
Graphic Designer
bgaiser@distinctimages.net
317.613.4413 x2011
Blaine bounced into our office with positive energy and a huge smile in May of 2016, coming from experience in screen printing and web and print media. He is one of the masterminds behind our artwork for apparel and swag. He punches out artwork quickly, keeps his creative hat on for all brainstorming and new design needs, and jams to music in his office at the same time.
Speaking of music…when he’s not watching movies, this Graphic Designer is also part musician, sings in a band and plays the guitar. His love for tunes started at the young age of 13 and has been a big part of his life ever since.
